Preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry and sound ensure to thoroughly sweep the floor to remove any debris.
- New wood should be sanded prior to coating to ensure you make a key.
- Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate key is produced.
- Remove all loose and flaking material to create a smooth and sound surface.
- Treat any knots with a suitable knotting solution.
Application
Do not apply if the temperature is likely to drop below 7 °C during the application or during the drying process. We recommend testing a small area before full application.
- Mix well before application, apply using a brush or roller.
- Recoatable in 6 hours under normal conditions, drying times may vary in extreme temperatures.
- The floor will be hardened after 6 hours and will achieve full hardness in 3-5 days.
